6 HEALTHY HABITS TO ADOPT

We are what we repeatedly do! This means our habits makes us. If you are having good habits you will be a good and healthy person but if you are having bad and unhealthy habits, you will be an unhealthy, unattractive and a lazy person. 
Everyone wants a healthy living life because a good health helps in prolonging our life and is also a sign of healthy and strong life. Your life will become more stronger when you have good habits that uplifts your body... the habits which can help you to maintain your dignity, power and also helps in strengthening your life. 


Are you surrounded by good habits that are helpful in making your body better than before? If not, then i am listing some healthy habits that are worth adopting and can help you to maintain a strong, happy and fit body.

1. Improve your sitting posture :


The first and foremost healthy habit you can do is focus on sitting with a back straight. Many people have a habit of sitting with a back curve which can be harmful for back aches, pain and stress in ligaments. Sitting with a straight back can reduces the risk of aches happening in future, it can also make you feel good about yourself. Whenever you sit with a curved back remind yourself to sit straight until it becomes your unconscious habit. Also, a person sitting with a straight back is more attractive than a person sitting with a curved back. That means the sitting position of a person can also be attractive to anyone. Therefore, focus on sitting up straight. 

2. Read atleast 1 page of book


Add a habit of reading atleast 1 page of any book daily. This can help you in improving your reading skills, speaking skills, vocabulary, pronounciation, act of behaving, act of talking and a lot more. It is also said that "Knowledge is power" and "There is no age of gaining knowledge" because we should never stop learning. By reading books or learning something new everyday you will gain something and can improve your mental ability. You can read 1 page of any book such as poem books, quotations, story books, novels or books of your study as well. Once you will find interesting reading 1 page of book, eventually you can get a habit of reading 20-30 pages or the whole stories written in book everyday.

3. Include green in your meals


Whenever you eat your luch, dinner or breakfast, add some healthy salads to it. Adding green vegetables to your meal like lettuce, spinach, etc. can help you a lot in making your eyesight stronger, building up immunity, energy and power. You can also include some red salad to your meal such as beetroots, carrots, tomatoes, etc. These are really flavourable in taste and are very good for health also. If you are not liking green veggies in salad then you can also add salad masala into it to make it tasty. If you are eating junk food of restaurants and road side stalls, you can also rebuild your health and immunity (that are effected by eating junk or unhealthy food) while adopting this salad habit. 

4. Disconnect your phone 60-minutes early before going to bed :


Nowadays most of the people have a habit of using phone at night or at the bed time. And on Saturday nights, people are like watching movies, series, playing games on their phone late night because they have to utilise their Sunday morning by waking up late. This can be a major distraction to your sleep. Using smartphones, tablets at night before going to sleep (or in bed) takes longer time to fall you asleep, it can also be a reason of your bad dreams or nightmares. It can also wake you up tired next morning due to delay in your sleep. And also, the blue light emitting from the smartphones are also harmful for eyes and mind. If you want to do some urgent work at your smartphone or even at your laptop try using it in the night mode. But simply avoid using them at night for a better sleep.

5. Take a 15-minute walk daily


Walk for atleast 15-20 minutes at evening or after you had your meal. This can improve your digestion as well as also improves your mood, eases joint pains, reduces excess body fat and strengthens muscles. Doing excercises, yoga or meditation are also very beneficial for health but if you are too lazy to do these then you can start with a short walk. Once you start a walk of 10-minutes everday, eventually you will walk for 30-minutes a day! Because it can magically bring changes in your body and mood that might surprise you and you will walk for some more time day by day. 

6. Drink 2 litres of water per day


Drinking adequate amount of water is always taken as a more essential and easy healthy habit. Make sure you drink atleast 2 litres of water per day to improve health. Drinking more amount of water can help in skin hydration, gives lower chances of unconsciousness, fairing complexion and can also prevent acne. This can also help in reducing kidney stones, curing constipation through the process of urination. You can also add some healthy powders or fluids to make a good taste of water such as glucose powder, protein powder, lemonade, etc. Make sure the powders that you purchase from the market have no preservatives in it. Drink more water specially when you excercise or go for a long walk, because drinking water can restore the amount of lost fluids in your body or the fluids that are lost through sweating and dehydration.
