QUICK TIPS TO PREVENT ACNE OR BREAKOUTS

Most of the people really get frustrated from acne. It is not important that only teenagers or young people face them but sometimes adults and people aged more than 24 years can also suffer from acne or pimples. They try so many dermatologist recommended medicines, homeopathic medicines to cure acne without knowing that medicines are warm in nature and can cause more acne once you stop taking them. Skin breakouts can cause a serious skin irritation and can extend from blackheads, whiteheads to blisters or cysts.
So, if you are suffering from acne then it is better to prevent them before trying to cure them once they are appeared.

For what reason breakouts occur?
People can get acne or breakouts mainly due to one of these things :-

- Excessive oil and sebum on face.

- Hormonal changes in body such as puberty or menstruation.

- Bacterial disease that causes irritation or scarring.

- Unhealthy and over greased food.

- Wrong hair maintenance.

Here i'm sharing 10 ways to stop acne or break outs :-

1. Keep your face clean :

First thing is to keep your face clean and tidy. Whether or not you've acne, it's vital to wash your face twice daily to get rid of impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface. Washing more often than twice daily isn't necessarily better; it's getting to do more harm than good. Overwashing your face isn't good. Use warm, not hot water that mrnas you can use lukewarm water for washing and use a light-weight facial cleanser. Applying a harsh soap (such as deodorant body soap) can hurt already inflamed skin and can cause more skin irritation. Avoid scrubbing your skin harshly with a wash cloth, an exfoliating glove, or loofah. Gently wash it with a very soft cloth or your hands. Always rinse well, then dry your face with a clean towel. (Toss the towel within the laundry hamper, as dirty towels spread bacteria.) Also, use the wash cloth only once a time, always use a clean cloth.

2. Moisturize :

Many acne products contain ingredients that dry the skin, so always use a moisturizer that minimizes dryness and skin peeling. Try the products that are labelled as "non comedogenic",  which suggests it shouldn't cause acne. Also, there are moisturizers available for greasy, dry, or combination skin. Even in summers or monsoons do not forget to moisturize your face. In case, if you are feeling that in excessive summers moisturizing your face can cause excessive sweating and heat, then you can use sunscreen or only one pea size drop of light moisturizer.

3. Use makeup occasionally :

During a breakout if possible, avoid wearing foundation, powder, or blush, especially on daily basis. If you're wearing makeup, wash it off at the highest of the day. If possible, choose oil-free cosmetics without added dyes and chemicals. Choose makeup that's labeled as "non comedogenic", meaning it shouldn't cause acne. Read the ingredients list on the label sticked on the the makeup product before buying it.

4. Watch out what you apply on your hair :

Avoid using fragrances, oils, pomades, orgels on your hair. If they get on your face, they're going to block your skin's pores and irritate your skin which can cause acne bacterias. Use a light shampoo and conditioner while washing your hair and wash hair and scalp properly. Oily hair can increase the oil on your face, so wash your hair often, especially if you're breaking out. You can wash your atleast twice or thrice a week to keep them clean and dandruff and dirt free. Also, do not wash them daily because it can give you excessive damage and hairfall. Got long hair? Keep it pulled distant from your face because may be the dust, dirt and pollution or dandruff (if any) present in your hair can damage your skin with acne causing bacterias.

 5. Keep your hands off your face

Avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only are you ready to spread bacteria, you'll also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your hands or nails because by doing so you will not only make your acne worse by causing infection and scarring but also start getting more acne around it.

6. Stay out of the sun :

The sun's ultraviolet rays can increase inflammation and redness, and should cause post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation (dark discoloration). Limit going outside in the sun, especially between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., If you are still moving outside due to some circumstances, wear protective clothing, sort of a long-sleeved shirt, scarf, pants, and a broad-brimmed hat. Whether you've pimples or not, always apply a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Apply it minimum of 20 minutes before sun exposure, so that it is completely absorbed in your skin. Look for "non comedogenic" on the sunscreen label to make new pimples less likely. Read the ingredients on the merchandise label to know what you're putting on your skin.

7. Feed your skin :

It's sensible to avoid greasy food and add more fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains to your diet for a better, glowing and acne free skin. Avoid eating junk foods outside and foods that are available on road-side stalls because by eating them you will not only get acne but they can also harm your health by injuring your digestive system. Oily food, extra spicy food, dairy products that are excessive high in sugar may trigger acne, so avoid eating these.

8. Drink adequate amount of water :

Most of the people have a habit of drinking less water due to their running and stressful life, they are so stressed and busy throughout their day that they forget when to drink water and how much water is good for them. According to experts, a woman should drink atleast 2.7 litres of water per day whereas a man should drink around 3.7 litres of water per day. Drinking adequate amount of water can make your skin soft and glow and can also lessen acne, blemishes, wrinkles and darkness. By drinking more water, your body will get rid of harmful toxins (that can cause acne) through urination. If possible, drink water in copper bottle, copper glass, copper jar or any other copper utensil. By doing so your body will have an increased number of copper particles that are good for your body and can prevent acne or breakouts to appear.

9. Exercise daily :

Regular exercise is nice for your whole body, including your skin. You can also include yoga and meditation in your daily exercises. They not only make you flexible and fit in shape or helps you in better focus, but can also make your skin clear, glowing and blemishes free. If not daily, do atleast 5 days in a week for better results. Once you exercise, avoid wearing clothing or using exercise equipment that rubs your skin and will cause irritation. Shower or bath right after exercise.

10. Relax :

Final tip i prefer to recommend is to only relax. Sometimes we are so busy in our daily schedule that we forgot to take out time for ourselves and relax or doing what we love. Ask yourself what is making you feel stressed or upset. Then look for solutions. When unsure, take out weekends to relax and do things that you love. Because being happy in life is one of the most important thing to do. If you are happy and enjoying your life in a positive manner then you are less stressed that can make you cheerful and can prevent acne too.
