Do you know that being positive in all the situations is the key to success! A positive thinking can attract more happiness, healthiness, satisfaction, inner peace and a lot more. But most of the humans have a tendency to think negative in all the situations....they pay more attention to dark emotions like sad, anger, depression than to great feelings like joy, happiness, gratitude, etc. However, it is said that if you think negative, you will attract more negativity and pain. Think positive in every situation and you will call positive things to you. But for most of the humans negativity is more addictive than positivity even though positivity is so much nicer. You might forgot a garden full of beautiful flowers that you had visited in the morning but a scary accident might haunt you for years that you saw on the same day at evening. By this example it is obvious that negativity is more addictive to humans. Now the question is how can we be positive in all the situations and even in the negative situation...? A quote also says that "If you are positive in a negative situation, you win!" It is true that when we have a positive mindset even in the negative situation, we can overcome anything at any cost. Thus, it is so important for us to stay positive and deal everything with positivity around us.
So, here i am listing some points that can make you positive in most of the situations and can help your mind to overcome negativity :
1. Practice gratitude :
Gratitude means the power of being thankful, thankful to each and everything that you have. It does not always mean you are thankful to god for everything, but you can be thankful even to your parents for raising you right, giving you this much education, making your desires come true, etc. When you will be thankful for each and everything that you have in your life, you will attract more positive energy to yourself. During gratitude you only think of the happy things and the things that you have already. That means the things that you are thanking for are all set and are all positive and good things, those things are the things that you want. So, when you will be thankful for those positive and good things then you will be automatically charged up with posivity and you will think that you can attract more such things that you want in your life as you had done it earlier (the things that you are currently thankful for). Remember, like attracts like.
2. Be kind and helpful :
Being kind and helpful to others can make us feel full of satisfaction and so much happier than before. Also, it is said that when you help someone or you are being kind to someone then you will receive so many positive words, positive prayers and positive reactions from the other side. And also when you are helping or being kind to others, they (the people whom you are helping) will also have a thought of good, helping and positive nature that you have, they will think of the positive side in you and believe that kindness and helpful nature is still alive in human beings. They will also carry same kindness and helpful nature forward and tend to give it to others and so forth. By this attitude there will arise a positive energy on both of the side and may be it can continue to arise in more people by forwarding the same.
3. Take out time for yourself :
Give some time to yourself atleast once in a week. When you take out some special time for yourself then you can find your inner self and confidence even with a hectic week. For example, you are going to a job at coffee shop and all you do is to make coffee for others. You hate doing this work and you hate going to your job but due to some circumstances you can't change the situation. Whole week you are seeing the same coffee machine and getting the same coffee beans smell that reminds you that you hate this place and environment. And this depresses you. What are you going to do now? While coming back to home after your working hours, will you think of that same feeling and remind yourself how sad your life is? Or you will be happy that a day has passed and soon better days will come to you and you will enjoy by playing around with animals or your pets or listening to your favourite music, etc. Reminding of your job will only make you fall in grief and anger, while taking out some time and enjoying yourself will make you feel so joyful and full of contentment. So, take out some time atleast 1 hour for yourself and let you do your favourite things. You can do so many things that you have interest in such as reading books, singing, playing games, gyming, taking a short walk, dancing, cooking, writing and can be as simple as playing with children, pets or with your loved ones. By doing so, you will regain your energy and power that will transform it into posivity and you can look ahead with more satisfaction and happiness.
4. Meditate :
Meditation means concentration. It is power of practicing to find your inner self, to find out who you really are. It does not mean that you are distancing yourself with other people but it means that you are finding your own worth, you are finding inner peace and satisfaction in your life. By meditating you can easily get rid of anxiety, stress, frustration, tension and so much of negative and depressed energy around you. You can say that meditation is a reset button of your life that throws away all the negativity by making you more resilient, pure and refreshed and it can give you a relaxed and comfortable feeling even when negativity hits you. You can meditate for atleast 10 minutes a day to keep you more focused towards positivity. Only these 10 minutes can bring miracles in your life by getting rid of all the negative emotions inside you and you can easily focus on the bright side of your life. Meditation is one of the best way to attract positivity towards you.

5. Get rid of bad habits :
Look through your habits weekly. Your habits are what makes you. Bad habits doesn't always means that you are drinking excessive alcohol, smoking, taking drugs, etc. Indeed these habits are bad and not good for your health and by quiting these substandard habits you can be more positive than before but may be now you are thinking that you do not drink, smoke, theft or do any of such poor things. Let me tell you that bad habits also means that - if you are always fearful to do something, self doubting in every situation or demotivating yourselves through your own expectations. Such mind habits can also lead you down in your life through negative feelings. Remind yourself not to fear or self doubt as it will only be a process of stagnation or lack of activities. If you fail, you will learn something from it as failures always taught us something valuable but if you stagnate you will only feel sad and depressed at the end. Failures are okay but stagnations are worse. Stagnation can only make you inactive and lack of knowledge. So remind yourself to quit on self-destructive feelings and move forward with self-raising habits such as proud, confidence, self motivation, contentment, etc. This will lead you towards more positivity and joyful aspects in your life.

6. Surround yourself with positive people :
Spend time with those people who are positive, motivating and who energizes you. Because those people can lift you up and can set your mindset with positive and happy vibes. Having a positive person around you can bring you so much comfort and satisfaction too. Whenever you get upset, they will only bring positive vibes around you and uplift you by making your mood with good and positive words. A positive person can also be an example of "A shoulder to cry on" because you can easily share your feelings with them and they can give you only positive solutions to focus on. Remember, if you get too close with a drowning or negative person then he/she may take you down with him/her. Pick a positive person instead who can take you up and give you posivity.
7. Read inspiring books or quotes :
As you know, reading is very good for our mind. Every knowledgable book that we read, changes something in our life specially motivational and inspirational books. So read some inspiring books or quotes everyday to make you feel energetic and passionate. Because when you read such inspiring stories written in books or quotes, you will be able to start believing in yourself and this may help you in realising your own potential. You will think more positively and tend to find solutions to various problems that you are facing. Motivational and inspirational books are all about positivity and these books are likely to make the reader think more positively.
